with experience at both the secondary and university levels, sam started his career in education as an admissions representative in the harvard college admissions office. he then moved down the road to boston university’s admissions office for six years, becoming a senior assistant director. over the next four years, sam was a senior associate director in the college counseling office at choate rosemary hall, where he has also co-taught a course in music production, coached squash, and managed a dorm. he is also involved with the association of college counselors in independent schools, serving on the the communications committee as the sub-committee chair of the accis blog, admitall. sam holds a b.a. in english from connecticut college and studied piano and voice at the berklee college of music. in addition to his work in the college office, sam is the assistant varsity golf coach and live in landry house with his wife and their three children.

natalie came to middlesex in 2002 from episcopal high school in alexandria, virginia, where she taught physics and pre-calculus, served as a dorm parent and an advisor, and coached varsity field hockey and lacrosse. after receiving a b.s. in mechanical engineering from tufts university, she earned an m.s. in civil engineering at the university of virginia. she captained both the field hockey and lacrosse teams at tufts, was a national all-american player, and played for the division i lacrosse team at the university of virginia. natalie taught physics and pre-calculus at middlesex from 2002-2016. in the fall of 2016, natalie moved to the college office as the associate director of college counseling. in addition to her work in the college office, natalie coaches varsity field hockey and lacrosse at middlesex and serves as a head of house in kravis. as a role model for middlesex girls who are interested in the sciences, she holds the zak family chair in physical science. natalie’s father graduated from middlesex in 1961, and her husband david graduated in 1995.
